Higuain has left Napoli for Juventus

There is news in Italy that Juventus has successfully completed the transfer of the Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli.

The transfer has been completed personally by the Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta late in the evening. Indeed the Italian League has confirmed that the transfer has gone through and that it had received the necessary authorization.

Marotta has stated that the transfer has been completed and that Higuain will be playing for Juventus next season. The transfer of the Argentina international for around €94 million is the most expensive transfer in the history of Italian football.

Gonzalo Higuain has been in top form since his arrival in Italy but has arguably made his best performance last season. Indeed the striker managed to score 36 goals in 35 appearances for Napoli. He has single-handedly brought Napoli towards the top of the league.

Since his arrival to Napoli the Argentina international has scored 71 goals for the team and has enjoyed success in the Copa Italia as well as the Supercoppa in 2014. He will be hoping that his arrival at Juventus will allow him to win the Serie A title which would have been harder to accomplish if he had stayed with Napoli.

Gonzalo Higuain is the 6th signing of the season for Juventus. The Italian team who have won the Serie A five times in a row have clearly set its sights on winning the Champions League. They are determined to build a side that will allow them to challenge sides such as Real Madrid, Barcelona as well as Bayern Munich for the biggest European trophy.

Napoli, on the other hand, will want to make the best use of the money that they will be receiving for Higuain. Indeed there is news that they are in the market for a midfielder as well as a quality striker to replace the Argentina international.
