CONTE VS FERGUSON

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson recently announced his retirement from the sport after more than 40 years in charge of different clubs.

Even though he has managed a couple of Scottish clubs, Ferguson is known for being in charge of United for more than 25 years. There have been comparisons of Juventus manager Antonio Conte with the Scot, but the Italian has straightaway rejected the comparisons by saying that he is only starting in his career. After more than a decade without any success, Conte managed to lead Juventus to successive league titles.

They are expected to be a major force in the Champions League next season. Conte achieved a lot of success with Juventus as a player. He was a midfielder for the club and he represented them in more than 400 matches. Due to the success he is recreating as a player, he has been compared with some of the legends of the game. At the same time of rejecting comparisons with Ferguson, Conte said that he is certainly not satisfied with the two league titles he has won as a manager. He wants to win more trophies and titles in the forthcoming years.

Conte has targeted the league and the Champions League double next season.

"Me the Ferguson of Juventus? First of all I want to applaud a great manager, but I think it will get boring staying on the same bench for as long as 26 years. I don't think we could've achieved anything more in these two years. We achieved the absolute maximum. The players have done magnificent things. If someone thinks I am happy at just winning the league though, they are mistaken. I'm hungrier than ever. A coach always has to find ways to improve the squad," said the Juventus manager after the league victory.
