Inzaghi Reveals Advice

New AC Milan manager Filippo Inzaghi has revealed that he has taken a lot of advice from top managers like Carlo Ancelotti and Antonio Conte. Conte is thought to enjoy a great relationship with Inzaghi, who is one of the revered strikers in the history of Milan. After spending the last few seasons coaching the youth team, Inzaghi was recently appointed as head of the Milan team. The club recently part ways with Clarence Seedorf – six months after his appointment. Inzaghi was favourite to take over the role even before Seedorf was sacked.

As expected, he was appointed as the new manager of Milan a few weeks ago. Since taking over, he is yet to make major signings at the club. More stressful the fact that he will have to be without the likes of Mario Balotelli for the upcoming season, as it is heavily expected that the Italian international will be sold in the summer. The club have already allowed star midfielder Kaka to leave on a free transfer. This severely depleted Milan team will be expected to challenge for a Champions League spot. This is the challenge of the highest order, but Inzaghi believes that the advice from managers like Antonio Conte and Ancelotti will hold him in good stead.

“Conte called me and said the only thing that changes from being a player to a Coach is you don’t sleep at night anymore! I am very self-critical, so I always put myself up for the challenge and want to improve. My experiences with the Allievi and Primavera youth teams fortified me. I look to the Coaches I worked with, and there have been many. Ancelotti is the emblem, as he is loved and respected by his players. That is my intention, even if I am Filippo Inzaghi and not Ancelotti,” said Inzaghi.
