JUVE ARE STRONGER

Juventus have made significant inroads when it comes to strengthening the squad in the striking department. The club has managed to bring in the likes of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente to strengthen the area where we lacked the most last season.

Juventus have had the best midfielders and defenders under Antonio Conte. It was only in the striking department that they lacked and this also has been strengthened following the arrival of these two players. The manager, though, reckons that there is still a lot of work to do within the team in order to make them great.

Since he has a wealth of strikers at his disposal, Conte has said that he is yet to finalise his first choice partnership for the new season. After being signed for around £ 10 million from Manchester City and given the famous number 10 shirt, Tevez is expected to be one of the starters. Juventus will be aiming for a third straight Italian league title, but more importantly, the manager will want to do well in the Champions League. The club made it into the quarter finals last season, but Conte would definitely want to see his team in the finals or at least win it.

"The important thing is that we've finished the pre-season training camp and now Tuesday evening's encounters without picking up any injuries. We didn't concede but we weren't able to show much of what we're capable of producing. It's understandable - the lads have worked hard and had tired legs. I’ve got a good set of strikers to choose from and I will make decisions according to their performance in training during the week. I tried to give all of them a game," said the Juventus manager.

Conte has said that Milan and Napoli will be their biggest challengers in the upcoming season.
