Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta has said that the club will be looking and working extremely hard to try and win the Champions League next season, according to the Man City News website.

The UEFA Champions League is the ultimate prize in a club can win in European football. Chelsea are the current holders of the cup after they won their first ever title by beating Bayern Munich 4-3 on penalties a few weeks ago.

Juventus are back in the Champions League after a long gap and many issues surrounding the match fixing scandal of 2006. They have recently won their first title since 2003, and Giuseppe Marotta has promised more success in the form of a Champions League title possibly next season.

Juventus are expected to make a number of important signings in the summer in order to help them realise their dream of winning the first Champions League title after many seasons. Back in 2003, Juventus finished as the runners-up in the title after a very tight and cagey affair involving archrivals AC Milan in the final. AC Milan managed to win the match on penalties. Despite having dominated Italian football for many decades, Juventus have only two Champions League titles to show, while AC Milan have seven trophies in this competition.

"We must try to win, we cannot just be content with just participating. Then, it will depend on many factors. Look at Chelsea, who seemed to be out and came out on top. We are looking to increase the size of the squad, which is necessary because we will play more matches next season. For that same reason, Conte and his team are trying to come up with training methods to use to prevent injuries," said Marotta. Juventus are extremely interested in signing Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, who will leave the club at the end of the season.
