JUVENTUS CHASE DI MARIA

Juventus are hot on the heels of Benfica winger Angel di Maria, according to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

New Juventus boss Luigi Delneri is believed to be in the market for a left-sided midfielder, a position in which they have been short of options since the retirement of Pavel Nedved last summer.

Di Maria, who is part of the Argentina's squad for the World Cup, has been strongly linked with a big transfer after an impressive season for Benfica in both domestic and international competitions.

The Corriere dello Sport claims Juventus have already approached Benfica in an attempt to fend off interest from the 22-year-old's other suitors, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Manchester City.
