United Linked With Move For Vidal

Manchester United have become the latest club to be linked heavily with a move for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal after their new manager Louis van Gaal confirm that the Chilean is one of his favourite players. The 26-year-old has been one of the best midfielders in the world over the last few years. However, his talents have not been used to the maximum at Juventus since the Italian club have been unable to make a switch impact in the Champions League. With the player at his best level, it is understood that he is keen on the prospect of lifting the European cup in his career.

Juventus Hopes Knocked At Semi Final

Juventus’ hopes of reaching the Europa league final were dealt a major blow after they were knocked at the semi-final stage after a 2-1 aggregate loss at the hands of Benfica. The first leg finished as a 2-1 win for the Portuguese outfit. This was followed by a 0-0 draw in Turin. Juventus were especially looking forward to reaching the final since it would be at their home patch. However, they are unable to find the crucial opening goal in the second leg and it finished as a draw.

JUVE CAN COMPETE

Juventus are one of the teams to remain in the Europa league after having been knocked out of the Champions League at the group stages itself.

Recently, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho criticised the policy of sending teams knocked out from the Champions League into the second-tier competition since it was eliminating the chance of victory for the teams that had qualified into the competition in the first place. Despite this, Juventus are keen on winning the trophy, which was won by Chelsea last season.

JUVE PROGRESS

Juventus managed to progress to the last 16 of the Europa league after a 4-0 win over Trabzonspor on aggregate. After being knocked out of the Champions league at the group stages, Juventus will be hoping to lift the Europa league this campaign.

They have certainly not expecting an exit so early in the Champions league after especially placing this as the main target for this campaign. Juventus have won the league title for the last two seasons in succession, but the club remain distant in comparison with the clubs eyeing for a European win.

Juventus Target Bayern Munich Striker

Italian giants Juventus are reportedly aiming to have Bayern Munich's Mario Mandzukic. The Croatian player would be pushed out if Robert Lewandowski goes to Bayern Munich, and it is possible that the Italian champs could be a probable destination.

The arrival of former Barca coach Pep Guardiola and Bayern's new found style means that the twenty seven year old would struggle to get matches. A leading sports website stated that Juventus is all set to offer 20 million with a 4 year deal (around 3.5 million a season).

JUVE ARE STRONGER

Juventus have made significant inroads when it comes to strengthening the squad in the striking department. The club has managed to bring in the likes of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente to strengthen the area where we lacked the most last season.

Juventus have had the best midfielders and defenders under Antonio Conte. It was only in the striking department that they lacked and this also has been strengthened following the arrival of these two players. The manager, though, reckons that there is still a lot of work to do within the team in order to make them great.

CONTE VS FERGUSON

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson recently announced his retirement from the sport after more than 40 years in charge of different clubs.

Even though he has managed a couple of Scottish clubs, Ferguson is known for being in charge of United for more than 25 years. There have been comparisons of Juventus manager Antonio Conte with the Scot, but the Italian has straightaway rejected the comparisons by saying that he is only starting in his career. After more than a decade without any success, Conte managed to lead Juventus to successive league titles.

JUVE STILL CONFIDENT

The Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta has said that he is extremely confident that the team can retain the Italian Serie A title this season due to the fact that they have the winning mentality.

Juventus and their upcoming games

In Italy football is massive, it is a huge passion for many people all over the country with millions of people watching every game they can each week. Italians are known for being emotional in everything and football is no different with the love and passion for the sport really coming through in the fans, but this is also because the quality of the football is so high that there really is something to celebrate when their team wins. Italy currently has some of the most competitive teams in the entire world that when they go to other competitions such as the Champions League they are often hot favourites to win the title.

NO COMPLAINTS

The Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has said that he will have no complaints about staying with the Italian club Juventus for the rest of his career. The Chilean midfielder has been linked with a move to some of the biggest clubs in the world including Bayern Munich and Manchester City in the last few weeks.

However, the 25-year-old has said that he is extremely happy at his club Juventus. Arturo Vidal has been one of the standout defensive midfielders in Europe over the last couple of seasons. He has even managed to add the attacking side of the game as well.
