JUVENTUS READY FOR BOLOGNA

Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero has said that his side are ready for facing Bologna. A week of tension has surrounded Vinovo after president Andrea Agnelli expressed his concerns.

And Del Piero is embracing a tone for change as he sets out the rescue plan against Bologna, hoping to inject new life into European hopes.

"We had two double training sessions at Vinovo this week, and now we are preparing for Bologna with one session, the usual," Del Piero told his official website.

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure feels that Juventus are the favourites to win this year's Europa league. Juve started Group A with a thrilling 3-3 draw at home to Lech Poznan, with the Italian giants coming from two goals down before conceding a last-minute equaliser.

City, in contrast, started with a comfortable 2-0 success at Red Bull Salzburg and will host Juventus in a fortnight's time. However, Ivory Coast midfielder Toure will not under-estimate Juve and believes the Serie A side remain the team to beat in the Europa League.

JUVENTUS INTERESTED IN DZEKO

Italian giants Juve are interested in signing Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko. Juventus' director general Giuseppe Marotta says that his club will try again to sign Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko next summer, but he expects the Bosnia international to join Bayern Munich.

The 24-year-old was a target for a host of top clubs before the transfer window slammed shut, with Manchester City, AC Milan and Chelsea all reportedly rivalling Juve for Dzeko's signature.

However, his current club fended off all advances for a second successive summer.

CHIELLINI HAPPY TO STAY AT JUVE

Italian international Giorgio Chiellini has stated is desire to stay at Juventus despite interest from Manchester United. Chiellini joined Juventus in the summer of 2005 and has since developed into an absolute key player at the Vechia Signora. He has made well over 100 league appearances for Juventus so far. Additionally, he has been capped at senior level for Italy.

JUVENTUS CHASE DI MARIA

Juventus are hot on the heels of Benfica winger Angel di Maria, according to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

New Juventus boss Luigi Delneri is believed to be in the market for a left-sided midfielder, a position in which they have been short of options since the retirement of Pavel Nedved last summer.

Di Maria, who is part of the Argentina's squad for the World Cup, has been strongly linked with a big transfer after an impressive season for Benfica in both domestic and international competitions.

Juve Chase BEnitez

Juventus have given Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez a ten-day deadline to decide if he wants to take charge of the Serie A giants next season.

Benitez's agent, Manuel Garcia Quilon, dismissed reports that he met with Juve president Jean-Claude Blanc in Milan on Monday, but his client remains top of the Bianconeri's wanted list.

The Daily Telegraph reports that Juventus remain "90%" confident of landing their man and widespread reports on Wednesday claim that a meeting between the two parties did take place.

Camoranesi wants Juve Stay

Following speculation linking Juventus winger Mauro Camoranesi with a move away from Turin this summer, the player’s agent confirmed today that he is now set to discuss to a contract extension with the club.

“In the middle of next week I'll come to Italy,” Sergio Fortunato told Tuttojuve.

“There is the possibility of renewing his contract for another year. I spoke to [sporting director] Alessio Secco yesterday and we agreed that we will meet when I come in Italy.”

Juve's Chiellini Targetted

According to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, Manchester United and Manchester City are interested in signing highly-rated Juventus centre-back Giorgio Chiellini .

The 25 year-old is in his fifth year at the Turin club and is seen as a reliable and solid presence at the heart of the Juventus defence. Although Chiellini's contract expires in 2013, his agent, Davide Lippi (son of Italy coach Marcello) is trying to negotiate an extension which would include an improved salary.
