JUVENTUS WANTS ARSHAVIN

Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal attacker Andrey Arshavin in the summer according to reports.

Turin sources say agent Dennis Lachter has already been in contact with Juve about a summer switch for the 29 year-old Russia international.

Arshavin is expected to be offered new terms by Arsenal before the end of the season.

Juve may struggle to meet Arsenal's asking price, said to be €16 million, and could be forced to give up hopes of converting the loans of Fabio Quagliarella and Alessandro Matri into permanent transfers to land Arshavin.

JUVENTUS READY FOR BOLOGNA

Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero has said that his side are ready for facing Bologna. A week of tension has surrounded Vinovo after president Andrea Agnelli expressed his concerns.

And Del Piero is embracing a tone for change as he sets out the rescue plan against Bologna, hoping to inject new life into European hopes.

"We had two double training sessions at Vinovo this week, and now we are preparing for Bologna with one session, the usual," Del Piero told his official website.

JUVE NOT IN FREEFALL

Juventus coach Del Neri has dismissed reports that they are in freefall. Juve crashed out of the Coppa Italia on Thursday evening as they went down 2-0 to Roma in the quarter-finals. The Turin giants have also fallen behind in the race for the Scudetto and currently sit outside the top four.

However, Del Neri has assured the fans that the Bianconeri are very much on track to achieving their objectives this campaign.

“From the outside, people see the glass half-empty. From the inside, we consider it to be half-full," he told the press.

JUVE WIN

Juventus made it to the next round of the Coppa Italia after defeating Catania by two goals. Goals either side of half-time from Milos Krasic and Simone Pepe proved enough to send Juve through at the Stadio Olimpico. Juve join Parma, Palermo and Inter Milan in the quarter-finals, with the remaining four last-16 ties to be played next week.

However, Juve's victory came at a cost as striker Luca Toni, who joined the club last week, suffered an injury early in the game.

DEL NERI CONFIDENT OF SUCCESS

Juventus boss Del Neri says that he is confident of an exciting second-half end to the season. Juve currently lie fourth in Serie A, five points adrift of League leaders AC Milan.

“I was happy to see everyone arrive without anyone being late,” Del Neri said. “This is an example of great professionalism. We are beginning to work with the best of prospects.

“This isn't a real training camp. I feel that it's important after eight days of holidays that the players find themselves all together again.

REJA TARGETS WIN OVER JUVENTUS

Lazio coach Reja has said that his aim is to win against Juventus this weekend. The Aquile are currently second in the table, three points behind the Rossoneri, while the Bianconeri are breathing down their neck and will be keen to bag maximum points tomorrow.

"We want to come from Turin with a positive result as that will increase our points tally and we could increase our future prospects," Reja said, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"But we will not deceive our fans. The title does not seem very feasible. However, in football you can never say never.

JUVE DRAW

Juventus secured a draw the Fiorentina in the Italian league. The Serie A Round 14 clash saw a spirited Fiorentina take charge early in the match. Midfielder Gaetano D'Agostino's free kick was headed to Juan Manual Vargas who fired a shot, which was headed into goal by Juve defender Marco Motta.

It wasn’t until the 20th minute when Juventus carved out their first clear cut chance. Motta fired a low cross finding Claudio Marchisio who shot straight at Fiorentina goalkeeper Artur Boruc.

JUVE FAVOURITES

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure feels that Juventus are the favourites to win this year's Europa league. Juve started Group A with a thrilling 3-3 draw at home to Lech Poznan, with the Italian giants coming from two goals down before conceding a last-minute equaliser.

City, in contrast, started with a comfortable 2-0 success at Red Bull Salzburg and will host Juventus in a fortnight's time. However, Ivory Coast midfielder Toure will not under-estimate Juve and believes the Serie A side remain the team to beat in the Europa League.

JUVENTUS INTERESTED IN DZEKO

Italian giants Juve are interested in signing Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko. Juventus' director general Giuseppe Marotta says that his club will try again to sign Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko next summer, but he expects the Bosnia international to join Bayern Munich.

The 24-year-old was a target for a host of top clubs before the transfer window slammed shut, with Manchester City, AC Milan and Chelsea all reportedly rivalling Juve for Dzeko's signature.

However, his current club fended off all advances for a second successive summer.

CHIELLINI HAPPY TO STAY AT JUVE

Italian international Giorgio Chiellini has stated is desire to stay at Juventus despite interest from Manchester United. Chiellini joined Juventus in the summer of 2005 and has since developed into an absolute key player at the Vechia Signora. He has made well over 100 league appearances for Juventus so far.
